With over 30 years of teaching experience and more than 20 years in senior leadership roles, Andy Hill serves as the Campus Principal at Tenby Schools Ipoh. Originally from Dronfield, Derbyshire, UK, Andy earned his degree in Physics from Sheffield after which, he completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Education at St Martin's College. Prior to joining Tenby, Andy held significant leadership positions across East Africa, most notably within the Braeburn Group of International Schools, where he advanced from a science teacher to the Group CEO. Under his leadership, Braeburn expanded its footprint, growing both in reputation and student numbers, becoming one of the leading international school groups in the region. His experience spans the strategic growth of schools, from start-ups to established institutions, and he remains deeply committed to improving student outcomes through evidence-based, data-driven practices. Since joining Tenby, Andy has continued to build upon the school’s culture of academic excellence, personal growth, and student wellbeing. His focus is on empowering students to reach their full potential while fostering strong relationships with staff, students, and parents. He is passionate about nurturing an inclusive and supportive school environment where all members of the community can thrive. Andy is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching (FCCT) and holds the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL). He is also currently pursuing a doctorate in emerging educational technology, further reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning. Andy lives with his wife Leigh, who also has an educational background, and their young twin sons, Gabrael and Zachariah. Their older child is also currently training to be a teacher having recently completed his bachelor’s degree. Together, they have embraced the local culture and the Tenby Schools community, where Andy continues to lead with dedication and vision.
Andurette is originally from South Africa and has moved to Malaysia with her husband, Hanro. She has been an Early Years teacher for 28 years. She trained and worked as a teacher in South Africa before starting an international career in August 2003 and have had various leadership roles in the Early Years. She has experience in different curriculum working in Malawi, Sudan, Latvia, Egypt and Qatar. Over the last two years in Qatar, she has been Head of School in a Kindergarten.
Andurette is looking forward to her role as head of Early Years at Tenby Ipoh. Her favourite quote is from Sir Ken Robinson “Every day, everywhere our children spread their dreams beneath our feet, and we should tread softly.”
She believes that young students learn best through doing; they learn holistically, and that play is the best way to offer young learners these hands-on experiences. She believes that through these hands-on experiences, children become independent, confident and competent individuals.
Ian Stamp joined Tenby Schools Ipoh in August 2024, with over 20 years of experience in education. He holds a degree in Mathematics and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Secondary Mathematics from the Institute of Education, University of London. Ian is passionate about holistic education and believes in nurturing students beyond academics. He values opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, character, and international-mindedness while discovering their passions in life. His commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching environment has been a key aspect of his leadership across schools.
With Ian’s guidance, we look forward to growing confident and curious minds in our Secondary School community.
