Tenby Schools Ipoh Boarding House provides a safe and welcoming home for students aged 12–19. Situated in a secure, gated community near the campus, it blends academic support with personal growth. With dedicated House Parents, students thrive in a structured environment that balances study, sports, and exciting weekend activities.
Boarding facilities are thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience, featuring air-conditioned ensuite bedrooms, individual study spaces, reliable Wi-Fi, and home entertainment. Separate accommodations for girls and boys ensure a secure and supportive experience tailored to every student’s needs.
The Tenby Schools Ipoh Boarding House reflects the school’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values:
Boarders enjoy a safe, supportive, and happy environment throughout their time in the Boarding House.
Boarders are encouraged to share concerns with any member of the Boarding House team, knowing they will be heard and their views valued.
Your accommodation is designed to be comfortable and welcoming, offering a true home away from home.
Boarders can contact their families privately whenever needed.
Meal times are social moments, offering a variety of healthy, balanced options.
Common areas are designed for you to relax and socialise with housemates comfortably.
Boarders are expected to be polite, kind, and honest, embodying the Tenby Schools’ way. Clear boundaries ensure that poor choices may lead to consequences.
The Home Style Boarding House offers a secure, welcoming environment just minutes from campus in a gated community. The setup features two spacious, two-storey townhouses with shared areas for dining, studying, and socialising, plus two kitchens and laundry facilities. Outdoors, students can relax in the play area with a table tennis table and basketball hoop.
Evenings bring everyone together for nutritious meals and meaningful conversations, guided by dedicated House Parents who foster a supportive, family-like community where students feel at home.

Students’ safety and emotional well-being are our top priorities at the International School in Ipoh and the Boarding House. A dedicated Safeguarding Team, including a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Counsellor, is in place to provide tailored support and oversee safeguarding efforts across both the school and Boarding House.
Boarders have access to counselling services, offering a confidential, supportive space to discuss concerns. Both students and parents can refer for support, with the option for self-referral by the student. Parents who feel their child would benefit from additional support can reach out to the House Parent or arrange an appointment with our DSL or Counsellor. Our aim is to ensure every student feels listened to and supported.
Our student supports include teachers who help with the EAL (English as an Additional Language), Learning Support, Counselling support and In Loco Parentis support. For boarders whose first language is not English, boarders would be timetabled to attend EAL classes during school hours to develop their English language proficiency thus supporting their main subjects and building their confidence to live and study in an English-speaking environment.
The support team recognise and values differences in individuals, believing that when boarders develop a sense of respect, they can make wise choices regarding their individual paths to success, develop their full potential, and maximise their own abilities in their learning journey.
We know reading about our school isn't the same as experiencing it firsthand. That's why we invite you to book a school tour of our campus and discover our community and learning spaces that will help your child thrive.
