Tenby Schools Ipoh is part of the Tenby Schools family, one of the pioneers of International and Malaysian National education in Malaysia with nearly 60 years of heritage in the country.
Tenby Schools Ipoh was established in 1960 by Mrs. Dorothy Nelson-Doig to provide quality primary education based on the British system to the children of the British expatriate community in Perak. The school was named after a small seaside resort and fishing village in South Wales, the hometown of Mrs Nelson-Doig, and our first classroom was a small church hall.
Today, we make a tangible difference in the lives of over 1,000 students from 30 nationalities in a purpose-built campus at Bandar Meru Raya built in September 2013. Our campus is home to two schools: Tenby International School, offering Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels, and Sekolah Sri Tenby, offering the Malaysian National curriculum.
Our state-of-the-art campus was designed to provide space for children to explore their full potential. A wide range of facilities includes a full sports complex, design and technology laboratories, a modern auditorium and much more, while a 13-acre green campus provides ample room for over 80 co-curricular activities, and comprehensive music and sports programmes.
We strive to provide every opportunity for our students to meet and exceed their potential in all areas and our philosophy of Amazing Learning is equipping them for local and global success.
This approach has resulted in outstanding student results in both our schools. Sekolah Sri Tenby Ipoh is regularly ranked at the top table in Perak for UPSR, PT3 and SPM results while our International School students have consistently won Top in the World accolades in recent years.
