At Tenby SEH, we believe in doing things differently— placing your child's learning and personal growth at the heart of everything we do. We consider admissions for children as young as three years old for the Early years programme to 16-year-olds preparing for their future. 

 

Our admissions process is designed with you in mind - straightforward, personalised and attentive to your family's needs. We offer support in multiple languages to assist international families throughout the admissions process.

Offer

There are three possible outcomes of the assessment. The first is Successful and you will be issued an offer letter. The second is Not Ready yet which means further discussion is needed about a start date and the third is a Conditional offer which may set out specific goals to be agreed by parents and the school before the child starts.

Frequently asked questions

Our Admissions Team will be in touch to guide you through the application process, and will request the following documentation from you:  

  • Parents’ passport/Identity card  

  • Parents’ visa (if relevant)  

  • Parents’ work permit (if relevant)  

  • Student’s birth certificate (translated to English for non-Malaysian)  

  • Student’s passport/MyKid if Malaysian Citizen/Identity card  

  • Student’s previous school report  

We strive to make the admissions process as smooth as possible, while taking time and care to give each prospective student’s application the attention it deserves. Generally, the full admissions process takes around 1 to 2 weeks from the initial application until the confirmation of a place, during which time your child may be required to take a standard assessment of their cognitive abilities.

Our school terms start in January, April and September but we have rolling enrollment so students can join us anytime. We have strong settling-in processes including a buddy programme to ensure children feel safe and supported as they transition into our community. 

Students will be placed in year groups according to their date of birth. Our academic year cut-off date is 31st August every year. Students entering Early Years must have turned 3 by the 1st of September and so on as they progress up the school.

Yes, if necessary. Fees may vary depending on the Malaysian immigration fees structure.

You can submit the application to book for placement in future. However, it is subject to availability based on the child entry assessment. You may talk to our Admission team to understand further.

Yes. Our application fee is RM500 for Sekolah Sri Tenby and RM1,000 for Tenby International School. 

This depends on why you are moving schools.However, enroling students sooner in the academic year helps them adapt to change and settle into a new learning environment.
