Exploring worlds through words Â
We inspire a love for reading, writing and storytelling. Students develop skills in reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar and vocabulary. Through daily phonics sessions, children develop strong reading, writing, and communication skills. This approach encourages creativity by using storytelling and interactive activities to build confidence in literacy. At our school, we proudly use the Read Write Inc Phonics programme in Key Stage 1 and the Real Writing program for Key Stage 2. This is an innovative, structured writing curriculum designed to help learners develop strong writing skills across all stages of their education while building critical thinking, creativity, and mastery of writing techniques.Â
Developing analytical minds Â
Our enhanced lessons encourage logical thinking and problem-solving. Learners study arithmetic, geometry and statistics, later exploring algebra and solving equations. Practical activities build a solid foundation for future learning. The White Rose Maths program offers a structured way to develop fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving. Lessons incorporate practical tools and interactive activities, making mathematical concepts easy to understand and enjoyable.Â
Discovering the wonders of science Â
Learners study biology, chemistry and physics through hands-on experiments. They learn about living organisms, materials, forces and energy. Science classes ignite curiosity and encourage exploration. White Rose Science helps students explore the natural world through hands-on experiments and inquiry-based learning. The curriculum promotes curiosity, encouraging children to think like young scientists. We use Hamilton Science, which is a dynamic programme that engages learners through hands-on investigative activities, fostering a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. It empowers students to develop effective methods of scientific enquiry, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking in every lesson.Â
Embracing future technology Â
We learn basic coding, digital literacy, internet safety and use the latest software. Projects enhance problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, preparing us for an ever-evolving digital world. Students develop digital literacy and coding skills using Byte-Ed, while VEX Robotics introduces them to robotics and programming through engaging, interactive activities. These programs help students build essential skills for the future.
Tuning into the rhythmÂ
Students immerse themselves in the joy of music by learning an instrument, singing, and participating in performances. These activities foster creativity, self-expression, and teamwork. Students can also learn to play musical instruments with professional instructors during extracurricular activities.   Â
Growing togetherÂ
Personal, Social & Health Education help us understand and manage our emotions, build healthy relationships and develop social skills. We learn about mental health, physical wellbeing and our roles in the community. Â
Fitness firstÂ
Physical Education classes focus on building physical fitness, teamwork, and coordination. Students participate in various sports and physical activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.Â
Multilingualism
Express themselvesÂ
Through Art & Design, students are encouraged to express themselves creatively and develop their artistic skills by exploring a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital design. This subject not only builds fine motor skills but also nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to communicate visually. Students are guided to understand cultural influences on art, exploring the rich artistic traditions of both local and international cultures.Â
Embracing future technology
Express yourselfÂ
In Drama, students at an international primary school would explore creativity, self-expression, and teamwork by learning foundational acting skills like voice, movement, and character portrayal. Through role-play, storytelling, and improvisation, they’d gain insights into different cultures, embracing the IPC’s focus on international mindedness. Lessons encourage collaboration, helping students build confidence, empathy, and communication skills essential for understanding diverse perspectives.Â

Eco-committee (Eco-Warriers)Â
Heads of House Â
House communities
Our House System gives every child the chance to shine beyond the classroom, earning House Points for their talents in sports, environmental projects, community service, and creative pursuits. With four vibrant house groups—Tiger, Pheonix, Falcon and Dragon—there's a place for every unique skill and passion. Which house will your child join?Â
Love of writing
At Tenby SEH, we embrace innovative learning approaches. In Early Years and Key Stage 1, Read Write Inc Phonics supports early reading and writing with engaging, structured lessons using visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic activities. Children advance through levels, becoming confident, independent readers and writers. For Years 3 to 6, Literacy - ‘Real Writing’ builds strong writing skills, critical thinking, and creativity. Focused on real-world communication, it encourages learners to craft meaningful content like stories and reports. Through planning, drafting, and revising, students see writing as an evolving skill, gaining confidence and ownership while mastering vocabulary, grammar, and clear organisation.Â
Further afield
We love planning exciting experiences for our primary students. Throughout the year, we arrange delightful day trips to fascinating places, enriching our students' learning outside the traditional classroom setting. In the past our primary students have enjoyed trips to various educational places. These educational trips are not only great fun but also a valuable opportunity for students to strengthen friendships and develop independence. These trips create lasting memories and important learning opportunities outside the classroom.
