At Tenby International School Setia EcoHill, sustainability is student-led. From eco-gardening to zero-waste projects, our learners are at the forefront, taking responsibility and driving change. Their actions have earned us the Silver Eco-School Malaysia status—an achievement powered by their energy and commitment to making a difference.
Our eco-garden is a space where students learn by doing.
Students lead the way in closing the sustainability loop.
From recycling to water conservation, students are at the heart of implementing eco-friendly policies across campus.
Our youngest learners become explorers in our Forest School programme.
Secondary students bring STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) to life with their interactive talking plant exhibits.
Plants that “talk”? Absolutely.
Our students are transforming ideas into action in the new Innovation Centre.
Our eco-garden is a space where students learn by doing. Created in partnership with the University of Nottingham Malaysia, it’s more than just a garden—it’s a living classroom. Students grow vegetables and fruits while learning about sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and teamwork. With weekly sessions led by university experts and peers, this garden thrives on collaboration and curiosity.
Students lead the way in closing the sustainability loop. Compost made from campus food scraps nourishes the garden, turning waste into rich soil. This hands-on programme teaches the importance of reducing waste and shows how sustainable choices create a greener future.
From recycling to water conservation, students are at the heart of implementing eco-friendly policies across campus. These efforts build environmental awareness, encourage action, and foster lifelong habits of responsibility.
Our youngest learners become explorers in our Forest School programme. Early Years and Key Stage 1 students engage with nature, developing confidence and curiosity as they discover the world around them.
Secondary students bring STEM (science, technology, engineering, arts, maths) to life with their interactive talking plant exhibits. These projects teach biology concepts, from photosynthesis to plant care, using innovative technology. As STEM Ambassadors, students proudly showcase their work at events like My Digital Maker Fair 2024 and Digital Education Carnival 2024.
Plants that “talk”? Absolutely. This student-led project uses sensors to track photosynthesis and report on lighting and water levels, giving students an engaging, tech-driven way to explore biology in real time.
Our students are transforming ideas into action in the new Innovation Centre. This open-plan space is a hub for robotics, digital design, engineering, and sustainable agriculture. It connects seamlessly with our eco-garden, featuring a planting room and nursery space, making it the epicentre for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
