Our leadership team, comprising highly experienced teachers and staff leaders, are the pillars of our strength and success. As the link between philosophy and action, the role of our leadership team is crucial in personalising our approach of Amazing Learning for the benefit of each and every child.

Beyond classroom education, our teachers are committed to helping students develop core attributes necessary to attain success in their careers and life. This is achieved through instilling a sense of independence and resilience in them.

Campus Principal

Martin holds a BA in English Literature and Philosophy, and 3 Postgraduate awards, he joined Tenby International School Setia EcoHill in September 2019 as Head of the Secondary School. He hails from New Zealand, has taught in the UK as a Middle Leader, and has lived and taught in Malaysia for eight years as an SLT member and is well acquainted with the Malaysian way of life.

Martin has put his Masters in Educational Leadership and Management on hold as he moves into the role of Campus Principal. He believes the holistic development of children must be at the core of everything we do in our school, and that we must all strive to get better every single day.

Martin has a wife, Mary Ann, and 5 year old son in the primary school, he is a fanatic basketball fan and enjoys reading, travelling and working on craft projects with his family

Meet our Leadership Team

Madeleine Britton
Head of Primary

With over 25 years of teaching experience, Madeleine joined Tenby International School Setia EcoHill in September 2019 as Head of Primary. She is an advocate for lifelong learning and has a clear vision of the purpose of quality education.

She holds a foundation degree in Art, a BA(hons), a PGCE, an MA and has now completed her MSc in Educational Leadership with distinction, from prestigious UK universities.

She is married with 2 grown up children. She enjoys health and fitness, is fluent in Spanish but above all has a passion for learning.

Jeffrey Elliott
Head of Secondary

Jeff is originally from Canada and graduated with a BAH in Psychology in 2010. He started his career teaching ESL in Harbin, China and has since taught in the UK, Penang and has been residing in Kuala Lumpur for the past 3 years. Over his teaching career he has experience in a range of Humanities subjects and leadership experience at the Department, Pastoral and Secondary levels.

Jeff recently completed his Masters in Education and believes that the development of personal qualities such as resilience, cooperation and respect are equally important to academic achievement.

Hailing from Canada, Jeff is an avid hockey fan and enjoys other sports such as golf and squash. Other hobbies of his include trekking, running and sampling the delicious cuisines of Kuala Lumpur.
