Prior to her current position, she was Principal of Tenby International School, Setia Eco Park where she began the school in 2008. Thereafter she moved into the role of Campus Principal at Tenby Schools Ipoh from 2015 to 2018, where she continued a rich tradition of academic success in IGCSE, A Level, UPSR, PT3 and SPM results, while students at Tenby International School Ipoh were regularly recognised as some Cambridge International Examinations Top in the World students in various subjects.

Welcome to Tenby International School Tropicana Aman!

I am so pleased to introduce you to our school, the newest flagship campus in the Tenby group. Opened in September 2018, this new school is designed to meet the educational needs of the 21st Century learners in a lush, spacious environment.

We always place our students’ best interests at the heart of all we do at Tenby Schools. Our mission is to help them develop the right learning skills while instilling strong character, and we take great pride and pleasure in seeing them blossom into successful individuals. To allow that to happen, we draw on our 60-year heritage of educational experience as well as the best of evidence-based pedagogy. Our approach combines intellectual endeavour with a broad range of co-curricular activities to facilitate all-rounded character-development.

LEARNING TO LEARN

Education today needs to develop the irreplaceable human skills in children that will still remain relevant in a world of rapidly changing technology.

True education is about teaching children to ‘learn how to learn’, that is, having a sense of ownership in their own learning journey, being an active learner by having the courage to ask questions and the resourcefulness to discover the answers, and being agile to adapt to different scenarios.

Learning needs to be about experiences beyond the classroom. It is about participating in the wider school community and applying their skills and insights in various roles and activities. All these experiences, whether it involves leading or participating in initiatives such as the arts, sports, music, competitions and community services, are opportunities to learn and become better.

Our learning environment enables students to develop international-mindedness through topics taught within the curriculum and through exposure to activities beyond the classroom that allow them to integrate with people from around the world. We’re proud to host children from different cultures and nationalities, and we know that an education in a cosmopolitan environment encourages students to become confident global citizens ready for the future.

We especially want to inspire children students to learn to levels that amaze them. Amazing Learning moments are moments where students can say “I didn’t realise I could do that until now!” and they teach them that their only true ceiling is where their imagination and hard work can bring them. As you can imagine, this is indeed a very powerful feeling!
