From the very first day, every student joins one of four Houses: Dragon, Falcon, Tiger or Phoenix. Here, they’ll be supported by dedicated House Leaders and a Tutor who will focus on their wellbeing and celebrate their achievements. Our house-based system not only fosters a sense of belonging and community spirit from day one, but also gives students the chance to develop important leadership skills as they grow into senior roles within the school. It’s a fantastic way to make lasting friendships, whether in class, on the playground, or during sports.
Every day, our students start and end their day with their class teachers or tutors, creating the perfect opportunity to check-in on their progress and get ready for the day ahead. These daily sessions give our pupils a sense of stability and support, knowing they have a trusted, friendly face ready to help them with anything that comes their way. This dedicated check-in time with their tutor helps each child feel grounded, connected and prepared—it’s their home base where they can always find encouragement and guidance.
Our students come to us from many different backgrounds, and with many different needs too. We understand that every child is wonderfully unique, with some needing a little extra support to help them reach their full potential. Our compassionate and experienced specialist teachers work hard to meet specific educational needs with care and expertise. Our team provides personalised support, using the latest teaching aids and technology, ensuring every child has the opportunity to shine. Our Special Education Needs (SEN) department provides tailored support for students with unique learning needs. Specialist educators offer personalised attention, adapting lesson plans and providing emotional and social support to ensure smooth transitions into school life. We foster inclusion, understanding, and empowerment, helping students build skills and confidence to thrive academically, socially, and beyond the classroom.
TTA is an international school where ‘international mindedness’ is learned and celebrated. All staff, students and parents sign an agreement, The Choose Respect Charter, which guides and upholds the code of conduct and expected behaviour of all in TTA.
Our dedicated pastoral team works hand-in-hand with teachers to ensure every student receives the academic, emotional and social support they need to thrive. With a wealth of resources available, including our highly qualified and experienced School Counsellor, students always have access to support whenever they need it.
Our fantastic Student Buddy system goes above and beyond to ensure that every new and joining student feels instantly connected and welcomed into the TTA family from the moment they arrive. Paired with a dedicated and friendly buddy, students receive guidance, support and companionship, helping them settle in with ease. Whether navigating the campus, understanding new routines, or making friends, the buddy system ensures a smooth and enjoyable transition into school life, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence from day one!
