Richard Furneaux is a seasoned educational leader with 25 years of experience across the UK, Oman, and Malaysia. He has a strong track record of enhancing academic standards, developing leadership at all levels, and fostering inclusive school communities.Before joining Tenby International School Tropicana Aman in January 2025, Richard served as Acting Campus Principal at Asia Pacific Schools, where he drove school-wide improvements and achieved record-breaking IGCSE results. His leadership has also led to the successful introduction of new academic programmes and cross-campus best practices.Richard is committed to empowering teachers, strengthening student leadership, and ensuring a high-performance learning culture. His vision for Tenby International School Tropicana Aman focuses on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring every student thrives in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Kay's remarkable 31 years in educational leadership showcase a history of excellence and passion. Equipped with an MA in Education, NPQH, and a PGCE from the University of Plymouth, as well as a BA Honours in History and Politics from the University of York, Kay’s academic credentials are impressive. As a former Head of School and Principal for over 800 students, Kay has consistently led schools to achieve extraordinary international exam success, with pass rates between 97-100%. Beyond exams, she has expertly implemented the English National Curriculum, guided staff toward effective teaching, and spearheaded Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes.Â
Kay's influence reaches far beyond academics; she is dedicated to cultivating a multicultural environment that nurtures students aged 3 to 18. Her projects, like university Peer Counselling partnerships, underscore her commitment to student well-being. Her experience as an International Principal in China is a testament to her adaptability and skill in diverse settings, perfectly aligning with TTA’s mission to develop well-rounded global citizens. We are confident that Kay’s inspiring leadership will elevate our school community and empower every student to reach their full potential!Â
Christopher McEntee brings over 20 years of passionate educational leadership, having worked across both international and UK schools in South Korea, the UAE, and now Malaysia. Trained at the University of Brighton, Christopher has excelled as a teacher and Key Stage Leader, driving high academic performance. His dedication to student success was recognized by the UK Secretary of State for Education for outstanding Key Stage 2 SATS results.Â
Christopher holds a BSc Hons in Social Psychology and Postgraduate Certificates in Primary Education and Mathematics, alongside completing his NPQML at the University of London. With a proven ability to lead change and develop teachers, he served as Primary Mathematics Coordinator in a UK National Teaching Alliance school, where he delivered professional development to other schools.Â
Beyond the classroom, Christopher is an enthusiastic learner and adventurer, having travelled extensively with his family and completed the Camino de Santiago in Spain over 15 times. His commitment to both education and personal growth aligns perfectly with the values of our school community!
Megan joined Tenby Tropicana Aman in 2019 as a Teacher of English as an Additional Language, quickly showcasing her skills and passion for education. She soon transitioned to the mainstream primary classroom, becoming a dedicated class teacher for all subjects. Today, Megan leads as the Lower Key Stage Two Phase Leader, skillfully guiding and supporting Year 3 and 4 teachers, along with Teaching Assistants. Her impressive academic background includes a BA (Hons) in Criminology, an MSc in Criminology with Forensic Psychology, and a PGCE.Â
With a decade of teaching experience, Megan is not only well-versed in primary education but also has a deep passion for psychology, sociology, and humanities. Before finding her calling in education, she gained invaluable experience working for the British Government as Her Majesty’s Chief Immigration Officer.Â
Megan's enthusiasm for learning is boundless—she loves teaching at all levels and is excited to expand her expertise into secondary education while exploring more leadership roles. Her commitment to nurturing young minds makes her a valued leader at Tenby Tropicana Aman!Â
