Personalised learning

In our International School in Selangor, Secondary education is a journey where students and teachers are co-pilots in learning. Together, they set ambitious goals, explore personalised pathways, and develop the skills and habits that spark academic success and lifelong growth. Beyond results, we focus on building the confidence and broader skills that help students thrive in university, careers, and every adventure ahead.

Future pathways

Empowering every student, Tenby Schools guides Secondary learners on pathways tailored to their goals, supported by career counsellors from Primary through to graduation. With one-on-one guidance and tools like the Unifrog Education platform, students confidently explore their futures. Highlights include the ISP Future Pathways Festival, featuring over 80 universities, and Future Skills workshops led by global experts.

Year-by-year guidance equips students for success:

  • Years 7 & 8: Discover strengths and personalities.
  • Year 9: Subject choice support with fairs, student drop-ins, and options week.
  • Year 10: Work experience prep, including CV writing.
  • Year 11: Post-IGCSE pathways workshops.
  • Year 12: Mock interviews, personal statements, and life skills like budgeting.
  • Year 13: University selection guidance with campus visits.

House communities

Our whole campus House System provides children with opportunities to be rewarded for their efforts outside the classroom, where they can earn House Points for their participation in areas such as sport, environmental work, community service, and culture and creativity.

Further afield

Our Secondary School students take the lead in their own learning while immersing themselves in the wider school community to expand their horizons. They step out of their comfort zones, take on meaningful responsibilities, and explore new activities that build resilience and foster connections.

From co-curricular activities to annual school camps, students develop teamwork and camaraderie. Sports teams strengthen leadership and collaboration, while roles like prefects, Student Council members, and participants in musicals, dramas, or Model United Nations events allow them to discover and showcase their potential.

Every experience is designed to help students grow in confidence, preparing them to make a positive impact in school and beyond.

Our affiliation with FOBISIA and connections with the international school sports leagues in Kuala Lumpur, provide students the opportunity to represent Tenby SEP competing locally, nationally and internationally in a variety of sports.

Duke of Edinburgh

The globally recognised Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) is a youth development program that challenges young people (ages 14-24) to engage in personal growth and community involvement and helps young people develop confidence, leadership, and life skills. We offer two levels Bronze, Silver and participants must complete activities in four areas: Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and an Expedition. This journey is not only about personal achievements but also about forming lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories along the way.
