Under-13 Athletes Shine at FOBISIA Games

At Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, students lead with determination—and our U13 athletes proved just that at this year’s FOBISIA Games.

Held across multiple days of high-energy competition, our students took on a wide range of events, including track and field, swimming, basketball and football. From explosive 100m sprints and powerful discus throws to strategic team plays on the court and pitch, our young athletes pushed limits, supported one another and gave it their all.

Many of our students participated in multiple games, showing both versatility and resilience. Most had been training for months, balancing schoolwork with regular practice. Behind the scenes, it was their teachers, coaches and families who provided unwavering support—guiding, encouraging and challenging them every step of the way.

That effort and dedication came through! Tenby athletes returned with a total of 31 medals, including 11 golds, 10 silvers and 10 bronzes.

But the true value of the games wasn’t just in the medal count. Students formed friendships with peers from other schools, discovered inner strength, and made their dreams come true. That spark of curiosity that they could do it too fuels their ambition and inspires others to take their own first step.

Many left the games feeling more confident and motivated, with a clear drive to train harder and push further. As one athlete advised juniors looking to follow in their footsteps, “Be resilient, put in the hard work, and don’t let others put you down.”

These moments show that learning goes far beyond the classroom. Through sport, students not only build physical strength but also grow in leadership, character and community spirit. And every step of the way, they carry with them a sense of pride—proud to represent their school, and proud of what they’ve achieved together.

Events like FOBISIA help students build confidence, stretch their limits and discover what they’re truly capable of. One student said it best: stay locked in.
