Education is about developing the ‘whole child’, and this means instilling a positive sense of self through good values, respect for others, compassion, responsibility and integrity.
To inculcate a greater sense of accountability and consideration in our students, we passionately support charities and give them the opportunity to spearhead these efforts. This unique learning platform helps students understand the plight of others and build confidence in their abilities to make a difference during their school years and beyond.
Here are some of the charities that our students have elected to support.
KL Pooch and Rescue
KL Pooch and Rescue
KL Pooch and Rescue’s aim is to alleviate the suffering of animal victims of abuse and neglect, re-home every animal responsibly, and reduce the stray population through spaying and neutering.
Our students chose to raise funds for this worthy cause and they had the opportunity to witness KL Pooch’s love at work when they visited their facilities on a working visit. KL Pooch and Rescue have also visited to do talks to our Charity and Eco Warriors, helping our students see how their support makes a real difference!
Dayspring Centre
Dayspring Centre
Dayspring provides services to persons with developmental delays and learning difficulties from age 1 to 30 years, and is dedicated to helping special needs persons to reach their fullest potential and be involved in community living.
We have sponsored Dayspring Centre over the last two years, and our students were humbled to be able to help meet the needs of the wonderful people at the centre when they paid them a visit.
SUKA Society
SUKA Society
SUKA Society or Persatuan Kebajikan Suara Kanak-kanak Malaysia (SUKA) is a registered NGO serving to protect and preserve the best interests of children. It provides crucial welfare and community development programmes for society’s most vulnerable kids.
We are currently sponsoring four children under the care of SUKA Society to attend school in Kampong Pisang near Ipoh, providing a valuable educational lifeline to them.
PAWS
PAWS
PAWS is a non-profit animal shelter in Petaling Jaya that receives unwanted dogs and cats which they vaccinate, deworm, neuter/spay and put up for adoption. It has been in operation since 1987.
We’re proud to be an active supporter of PAWS, and our children regularly visit their centre and raise money and supplies for this very worthy initiative.
