Safeguarding policy

At Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens, we provide clear protocols for handling child protection issues and prioritise open communication with students, parents and stakeholders for a well-understood safeguarding approach. If you’re concerned about a child please talk to us.

Our safeguarding policy details our dedication to child protection and welfare. It defines key terms, outlines staff responsibilities, and reiterates our proactive approach to student safety.

  • Having a school nurse on site
  • Ensuring that all staff and parents wear identification
  • Designated student toilets
  • Undertaking police checks before recruiting staff
  • Ensuring teacher and staff are first aid trained
  • Patrolling security guards at entrance and exit points plus CCTV surveillance

Keeping our students safe online

To create a safe digital environment, our school uses Smoothwall, an advanced system with age-appropriate filters that block harmful content and monitor online activity in real time. Smoothwall protects students from risks like cyberbullying, explicit sites and malware, allowing them to explore educational resources securely in a focused space for learning.
