Elizabeth Grundy joined Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens in 2023. She has spent more than twenty years in Education, and has completed her National Professional Qualification in Executive Leadership. She has experience in school leadership and headship in two highly successful UK schools and is joining us after three years as Head of School at Tenby International Primary, Setia Eco Park. She has a BSc in Genetics, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, and her philosophy of teaching and school leadership is simple: to put students at the heart of everything we do and ensure they receive the highest-quality education we can offer.
Hailing from Lincolnshire in England Ms Vicky holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Teaching and Learning and has been working full time in Education for over 20 Years. After enjoying teaching across the primary age range, Ms Vicky was soon promoted to the leadership position of Deputy Head and her commitment, dedication and passion ensured very successful improvements were made. For Ms Vicky’s first headship role, she was appointed Executive Head Teacher of two schools that needed rapid improvement.
Ms Vicky quickly implemented new changes and successfully led the schools through a very complimentary Ofsted Inspection. Her first International Post was in Doha, Qatar (Al Jazeera Academy) where she successfully assisted with the accreditation by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges). Arriving in Malaysia in 2019, Ms Vicky then worked in Nilai (Nilai International School) as the Primary Headteacher where she was also given the responsibility of whole school improvement for both Primary and Secondary teachers. She is very passionate about building strong, effective teams where students are at the heart of every decision made.
Shikin, a proud Johorian, holds a bachelor's degree in Sport Science from UiTM Malaysia and a PGCEi from Queen’s University, Belfast, UK. With 11 years of dedicated service at Tenby School, she has built a wealth of experience, becoming a passionate and impactful educator. From the beginning of her career, Shikin has been committed to teaching and learning, taking great joy in seeing her students blossom into confident speakers. Her innovative approach often incorporates performance arts during literacy lessons, helping students grow in self-assurance and expressiveness.
Shikin believes that positive thinking and effort leads to meaningful growth. Her dedication to nurturing young minds has a lasting impact, helping students become confident and capable learners. "What you sow, you shall reap." This principle reflects Shikin’s belief that dedication and positivity lead to success for both educators and students.
Katie has a degree in History and began her career as a secondary History teacher. She also holds a Masters in Educational Leadership and has worked in senior roles in the UK and the Middle East, including Head of School and Vice Principal. She is passionate about creating dynamic learning environments and helping students achieve their best. Katie is also a keen sportswoman, having completed charity cycle rides from London to Paris and London to Amsterdam.
Sherif Elgendy, originally from Egypt, is a seasoned educator with a bachelor's degree in education and arts from Cairo University. With nearly 20 years of experience, Sherif has consistently demonstrated his ability to leverage data to drive school-wide improvements in teaching quality, curriculum delivery, and student outcomes. During his career in international schools, Sherif has applied data-driven strategies to identify areas for development, implement targeted interventions, and track measurable improvements.
Sherif is passionate about using analytics to empower educators and foster a data-informed approach to school improvement. He lives by the motivational quote: “Without data, you're just another person with an opinion.”
Originally from Penang, Xin Jing holds a Master of Arts in Literacy Studies, a Bachelor's degree in Arts, majoring in Chinese Studies with a minor in English, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT). Prior to teaching in international schools, Xin Jing taught in national schools and universities, gaining a broad perspective on education. Xin Jing began her career as a Mandarin teacher, before serving as the Head of Mandarin and later being promoted to Head of Languages.
In her current role as the Assistant Head of Secondary, Xin Jing works closely with staff and students to promote academic excellence and support student development. Passionate about teaching and learning, she is especially happy to see students grow into well-rounded individuals. Xin Jing has been a part of the Tenby community for more than 6 years, where she continues to inspire academic excellence and foster a supportive learning environment. Xin Jing believes that "Education shapes the future and society, empowering individuals to make a positive impact to the world."
Ms Ainnie Ahmad graduated from University of Missouri-Rolla USA, with a BSc in Electrical Engineering. She later perused her passion for teaching and learning with a PGCEi from Queen’s University, Belfast, UK. She came into the teaching profession to make a positive impact on children’s lives, enabling them to become lifelong learners.
She started off as a teaching assistant and worked with children across all key stages. Upon completing her PGCEi she went on to becoming mile post leader, IPC coordinator and has been a committee chair for school improvements exercise. She believes wholeheartedly in the importance of providing children with high quality education, shaping them to be independent, high achieving individuals ready to face the outside world.
Holding a Master's Degree in Technical and Vocational Education from Universiti Tun Hussien Onn Malaysia. Maimunah is passionate about teaching and learning. She believes that this career is a pure career because it can educate and nurture knowledgeable young people. Has more than 5 years of teaching experience and always ensures that the interests of students come first so that amazing learning will occur and the objective of the learning will be achieved.
Jasmine has dedicated her career to the field of education. She began as an educator, eventually moved into facilitating educational winter programmes for international families, before finally stepping into her role here. With a deep understanding of the needs of both international and local families, Jasmine excels in highlighting the best aspects of the school- where she finds great fulfillment in welcoming new families into the Tenby SEG community.
Beyond her professional commitments, Jasmine is passionate about community building. She actively volunteers with religious non-profit organizations in her free time, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact both within and outside the school community.
