Be the Change Scholarship Terms and Conditions

EligibilityThe Be the Change Scholarship is open to all upcoming Year 7 to 9 or Form 1 to 3 students. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens, permanent residents or hold a study visa. 
Scholarship ValueThe scholarship covers the full tuition fees for the 2023-24 academic year. It does not cover other fees such as examination fee, tec fee, field trip expenses, or any other incidental costs.
Application ProcessApplicants must complete the application form and submit a 60-second video in response to the question: What do you want to change? by 22 June 2023 at 5pm. 
Selection ProcessAll applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges from Tenby International School Penang. The panel’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into before or after the decision. 
Scholarship AwardThe successful applicant will be notified by email and must accept the scholarship offer within two weeks of notification. Failure to do so may result in the scholarship offer being withdrawn and offered to another applicant
Scholarship ContinuationThe scholarship is awarded for the 2023-24 academic year only. Continuation of the scholarship beyond this period is not guaranteed and is subject to review by the school based on the student’s academic performance, behaviour, and active participation in school activities.
TerminationThe scholarship may be terminated at any point if the student fails to maintain satisfactory academic progress, violates any school rules, or fails to uphold the spirit of the scholarship in promoting changemaking. 
Changes to Terms and ConditionsTenby International School reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions of the scholarship at any time. Any changes to the terms and conditions will be communicated to the scholarship holder in a timely manner.
