Build a solid foundation in essential mathematical principles in specialised Mathematics classrooms in the STEAM Engine and develop problem-solving skills and logical thinking through real-world application of Mathematics.
Students develop the basics in scientific principles and prepare them for careers in medicine, engineering and beyond. They fuel their curiosity and critical thinking through hands-on experiments and real-world applications in specialised and modern laboratories on our campus.

Learn about the 19th and 20th centuries through compelling narratives, historical evidence, and critical analysis of major international issues and regional events.
Master essential Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills and explore the implications of technology in society, learning to solve problems using software like word processors and interactive presentation tools, preparing for future careers in a tech-centric world.
Study global musical traditions and learn to express yourself through performance and composition, creating music inspired by different cultures and historical eras in our Music and Recording Studio.
Students develop acting techniques and stagecraft while learning to analyze, devise, and perform dramatic work, with a focus on creative expression and performance for assessment. Practical lessons are conducted in the Drama Studio with a black-box setting and a backstage room.
Students develop their creative potential by experimenting with different mediums and techniques, personal concepts, and create impactful art, all while building an appreciation for art’s role in culture and society.

Our curriculum hasn’t just stayed the same—it’s been enhanced and taken to the next level! As a team, we now collaborate more closely than ever, ensuring our students connect their learning across subjects and apply key skills in exciting, real-world contexts. Imagine using Maths skills in Geography to graph fieldwork results or applying PETAL writing techniques to sharpen analysis in both History and English. Year 7 to 9
In the first three years of our secondary school in Penang, students engage with a broad range of academic subjects, guided by specialist teachers in state-of-the-art learning spaces.
In response to student interest we now offer mini options in Year 9 so that students can choose from Geography or History then then choose a second in Humanities option from History, Geography, Business Studies and Global Perspectives. This helps students prepare for their IGCSE options the following year.

Starting at age 14, students embark on a two-year program leading to IGCSE examinations, covering four compulsory core subjects and elective subjects according to their abilities and interests.

Students arrive at 7:45 ready for their day.

Students choose from a range of healthy, nutritious options, or bring in a packed lunch in from home.
Home time
2:30pm - 3pm
Students are finished their timetabled classes at 3pm apart from Wednesdays and Fridays where they finish at 2:30pm.
CCA time
3pm-4pm
We offer a wide selection of co-curricular clubs until 4pm.

Future pathways
Along with one-on-one guidance, students participate in the Annual iSP Future Pathways Festival (University Fair), Future Skills sessions, and have access to the Unifrog Education platform, students connect with Post-16 and Pre-University providers to gain insights into future studies.
We also offer workshops where parents and students explore topics like different pathways, studying abroad, and admissions. Our strong partnerships provide real-world expertise through experiences such as iGCSE Business students visiting local employers, inspirational assemblies on career pathways, and taster days at local colleges. With these opportunities, we equip students with the knowledge and confidence to follow their dreams!
Latest technology
We equip our students with cutting-edge technology skills by teaching them to use a variety of powerful tools. This includes VEXcode VR, where they explore robotics and coding through engaging virtual challenges, and Microsoft Access, which introduces them to database management and information organization. They also dive into web development using Adobe Dreamweaver, gaining hands-on experience in building and designing websites. Additionally, students develop essential programming skills with Python IDLE, learning the fundamentals of coding through one of the world’s most popular programming languages. These tools empower students with the digital literacy needed to thrive in the modern world.
House communities
Our whole campus House System provides children with opportunities to be rewarded for their efforts outside the classroom, where they can earn House Points for their participation in areas such as Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Character, Community, Creativity. Our four house groups are Ledang, Tahan, Kinabalu and Jerai.
Opportunities
We encourage our Secondary students to actively engage in the wider school community to broaden their horizons. Along with more than 75 co-curricular activities, students have many chances to step outside their comfort zone and take on responsibilities. School camps foster teamwork and camaraderie, while sports teams help build leadership and organisational skills. Students can also explore their potential through roles such as prefects, participating in musicals or dramas, joining the Student Council, and many other enriching opportunities. These experiences help them grow both socially and academically!

Each year, our students look forward to the exciting Horizons Week! They get the chance to embark on incredible educational adventures to destinations like Bali, Thailand, India, and Malaysia, with the option to enjoy enriching experiences right here in Penang as well. These journeys are all about expanding their horizons, exploring new cultures, and bonding with friends through shared travel experiences within their school community. It’s a week filled with learning, discovery, and unforgettable memories!
Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE), Award is close to our core philosophy of helping young people build life-long belief in themselves, supporting them to take on their own challenges and follow their passions. Our students participate in two levels - Bronze and Silver - completing activities in volunteering, physical, skills, and an expedition. We love DofE because it is line with our core belief to celebrate and champion every young person.
