At Tenby Schools Penang, multilingualism is at the heart of our community. With students from over We have more than 800 students from more than 30 countries, we see language learning as essential for personal and academic success. From Early Years to A Level, learners build confidence in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
We offer extra support if your child needs additional English language lessons to ensure they keep up with their year group's standards and make the most of their learning opportunities. Our English Learning Centre offers English as an Additional Language (EAL) support, tailored to meet students' needs based on their current language proficiency.
This ensures that every student receives the right level of support to thrive academically.

Real-world language opportunities
Through International School Partnerships' International Opportunities programme, our students immerse themselves in cultural exchanges, debates, and creative film projects—safe and exciting rehearsal spaces where they can practice and grow their language skills with confidence.
We believe in personalised language learning. Every new student completes:
Year 2 – Year 8 completes the CAT4 Assessment
Year 9 and above completes the NGRT test
(National school) Standard 2 – Form 4 completes the CAT4 Assessment
Our goal: Students achieve at least B2 proficiency in English, ready for higher education standards.
