Tenby Schools Penang is a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Specialist School and part of the International Schools Partnership. Tenby Schools Penang is part of the Tenby Schools family, a pioneer of International and Private National education in Malaysia. Now with six campuses across the country (Ipoh, Penang, Setia Eco Park, Setia Eco Gardens, Setia EcoHill and Tropicana Aman), we are known for providing a learning experience that helps students excel academically, build essential skills for life, and grow with confidence to embrace future opportunities.
Tenby Schools began in 1960 as a kindergarten for British expatriates in Malaysia. Dorothy Nelson-Doig founded the school, naming it after her hometown Tenby in Wales.
Sekolah Sri Tenby started as Sekolah Sri Pinang in 1981 and was the first private school in Penang.
Over the next 40 years, Tenby Schools introduced the English curriculum along with the Malaysian Primary School curriculum that pioneered dual-stream system that set new standards in education in Malaysia.
Tenby Schools acquires Sekolah Sri Inai in Penang and opens Tenby International School, establishing Tenby Schools Penang.
Tenby Schools Penang moves into a new campus in Tanjung Bungah, providing an inspiring environment for students to learn.
Tenby Schools joined the International Schools Partnership, iSP, connecting with schools worldwide and creating broader learning opportunities for students.
Tenby Schools Penang becomes a STEAM specialist school, with a learning approach that empowers students to grow at a pace of change.
Tenby Schools Penang opened its STEAM Engine a 75,000sq ft dedicated to science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, including Robotics Labs, XR Labs, Design Technology Labs, Food Labs and a Black Box Theatre. An auditorium is planned to open for the next stage of this development.

The journey culminates in our Sports Achievement Awards Night, where dedication, teamwork, and victories are celebrated in true Tiger style.
