At Tenby Schools Penang we ensure every student feels supported, valued, and safe throughout their school journey. Wellbeing and pastoral care are central to our philosophy, promoting mental fitness, emotional health and personal development. By creating an environment of care and encouragement, learners grow the confidence they need to achieve their full potential.
From their first day, every learner becomes part of one of four Houses: Ledang, Kinabalu, Jerai, or Tahan. Each House is guided by dedicated House Leaders and Tutors who focus on wellbeing and celebrate achievements. This system fosters a sense of belonging and offers opportunities for learners to grow into leadership roles. Friendships flourish through classes, playground activities, and sports, creating a vibrant and supportive school community.
Learners begin and end their day with their class teacher or tutor, offering consistent touchpoints to track progress and prepare for the day. These sessions provide stability, connection, and a safe space for encouragement and guidance, ensuring every student feels grounded and supported.
We celebrate the uniqueness of every learner, recognising that some need additional support to achieve their potential. Our team of specialist educators provides personalised strategies and innovative tools to help every child succeed. Through this approach, learners grow, thrive, and feel empowered every step of the way.

When students are going through difficult times, whether it’s a family crisis, bullying, or other personal struggles, we step in to provide immediate care and support.
We closely monitor and encourage healthy relationships between students, addressing concerns like bullying, peer pressure, or social isolation, and promoting a positive social environment.
Working alongside teachers and parents, we develop behaviour strategies to support students facing challenges, ensuring they stay on track both emotionally and academically.
If conflicts arise we’re here to mediate and help resolve issues, ensuring a positive and harmonious school atmosphere for everyone.
We keep a careful eye on students' behaviour and progress, tracking any concerns and making sure senior leadership is aware when extra support might be needed.
We monitor students' academic progress closely, identifying those who may need extra support due to personal challenges, and helping them get back on track with the guidance they need.
For students at risk of falling behind academically, we work with teachers and parents to create personalised intervention plans and set realistic, achievable goals to help them succeed.
