Meet our leadership team

Jeanne has been leading the way as Campus Principal at Tenby Schools Penang since 2019, after previously heading the former Tenby Schools Miri. With a background rooted in education—coming from a family of teachers—she understands the dynamics of international communities. Jeanne’s journey started in a small village in South Africa, followed by a move to the UK in 1997, where she worked with the South African High Commission in London, promoting education and cultural connections between the two countries. In 2002, she followed her passion for teaching, spending over a decade in UK schools before bringing her expertise to Malaysia in 2013. Jeanne strongly believes that the best learning happens in environments where children’s voices are heard, and they feel empowered to take risks—perfectly aligning with our school’s educational philosophy. 

Julia became part of the Tenby International School Penang community in August 2022, bringing a wealth of experience as the Head of Tenby International Secondary School. Before making the move to Penang, she spent 25 years living and working in the picturesque Cotswolds, known for its natural beauty in the South West of England. With 30 years of experience as an English teacher, Julia is passionate about education and has spent the past 18 years focusing on curriculum design and developing high-quality, research-based teaching and learning. Her love for inspiring students and enhancing educational standards is at the heart of everything she does, ensuring every student receives the best possible learning experience. 

Ms Etta brings over 16 years of teaching experience, passion, and dedication to our school community! With a BSc Hons in Environmental Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University and a PGCE from Bath Spa University, she joined our Primary department in 2015 as a Year Six teacher and stepped into her current role as Head of Primary in 2017. Etta leads with energy and heart, driving school initiatives and student engagement activities that have boosted overall performance. She’s actively involved in learning walks and lesson observations, ensuring key strategies are implemented across the school. A strong believer in using data to identify strengths and areas for growth, Etta works closely with teachers to set meaningful end-of-year goals, always striving to create the best learning experience for every child.

Ms. Teoh has been a dedicated member of the Tenby Schools Penang community since 2010. As the Head of Sekolah Sri Tenby, she not only leads the school with passion but also inspires young minds as a Science teacher for students aged 7 to 12. Her enthusiasm for education extends beyond the classroom, as she plays a key role in managing various administrative responsibilities and heads the Science department. With a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biotechnology from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and a PGCEi from Queen’s University Belfast, Ms. Teoh brings both expertise and heart to everything she does, ensuring each child’s learning journey is exciting and impactful.

Angela joined Tenby Schools Penang in 2023 and holds a degree in Dance and Media from Bath Spa University. With a secondary PGCE in English and 11 years of teaching experience, she has worked with a diverse range of students across various educational settings. Angela began her career in Hayes, one of London’s most multicultural and economically diverse areas. During this time, she advanced to the position of Assistant Principal and contributed to establishing a new studio college within the Rosedale Hewen’s Academy Trust. A significant part of her role involved supporting highly vulnerable student groups.
