Ms Etta brings over 16 years of teaching experience, passion, and dedication to our school community! With a BSc Hons in Environmental Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University and a PGCE from Bath Spa University, she joined our Primary department in 2015 as a Year Six teacher and stepped into her current role as Head of Primary in 2017. Etta leads with energy and heart, driving school initiatives and student engagement activities that have boosted overall performance. She’s actively involved in learning walks and lesson observations, ensuring key strategies are implemented across the school. A strong believer in using data to identify strengths and areas for growth, Etta works closely with teachers to set meaningful end-of-year goals, always striving to create the best learning experience for every child.
Ms Lim joined the Tenby community in January 2011 and has dedicated over 13 years to supporting the well-being of students. During this time, she focused on raising awareness of the importance of mental health and creating a safe, welcoming space where students can seek help when needed. As a registered and licensed counsellor, Miss Lim provides compassionate, non-judgmental guidance, helping students navigate personal challenges with understanding and care. She is also a certified Mental Health First Aider for adolescents, trained to offer immediate support during mental health crises, and to promote a positive culture of well-being throughout the school community. In addition to her counselling role, Miss Lim serves as the Deputy Safeguarding Lead, where she plays an integral part in ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. She is fully committed to supporting students not only in their academic success but also in building resilience and emotional intelligence. Through both her teaching and counselling roles, Miss Lim strives to create a caring, supportive environment where every student feels valued, empowered, and encouraged to grow and succeed in their own way.
Tanya joined Tenby International School Penang in April 2011, in the founding year of the International Primary School. In her time at Tenby she has taught across all year groups in Key Stage 2 and is currently a Year 6 Class Teacher as well as Assistant Head for Curriculum and English. Before becoming a member of the Tenby family Tanya worked in the North East of England for Newcastle College in collaboration with the North East Prison Service. During this time she worked in supporting and educating disenfranchised youths who had found themselves on the wrong side of the criminal justice system. Ensuring an established educational foundation that could support emotional and societal well-being for these youths was the main focus of this role and nurtured the passion to use these skills further afield. Tanya is committed to ensuring that all aspects of a child's school experience is engaging, secure, happy and provides all the success needed for future endeavours.
Angela joined Tenby Schools Penang in 2023 and holds a degree in Dance and Media from Bath Spa University. With a secondary PGCE in English and 11 years of teaching experience, she has worked with a diverse range of students across various educational settings. Angela began her career in Hayes, one of London’s most multicultural and economically diverse areas. During this time, she advanced to the position of Assistant Principal and contributed to establishing a new studio college within the Rosedale Hewen’s Academy Trust. A significant part of her role involved supporting highly vulnerable student groups.
